Frequently asked questions
Answers about how we work, what we deliver, how quotations and payment run, and what to prepare before you get in touch.
Questions we are often asked
These answers cover the practical points producers and organisers raise before a job. If your question is not here, the contact page is the best way to reach us.
01 Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Stirling and work with broadcasters, event producers and production companies across Scotland and the wider UK. For jobs further afield, send us the venue and dates through the contact page and we will tell you in writing whether we can take it on and what that involves.
02 Can you work with our own camera crew or director?
Yes. Some clients bring their own director or cameras and ask us only for signal management or distribution. Others use our operators and vision mixing. When you write to us, say which roles you already have so that we confirm exactly where our crew fits in.
03 How do I ask for a quotation?
Use the form on the contact page. Include the date, venue, type of programme, where the feed is going and any technical details you already have. We reply with questions if needed, then send a written quotation listing what is included and what could change the cost.
04 How do ordering and payment work?
Ordering starts with an enquiry through the contact page, followed by our written quotation and your written confirmation. After the work, we send an invoice, which you pay by bank transfer. Nothing is bought or paid for on this website.
05 What happens if we need to cancel?
Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which you can read on the site before you confirm. If your plans change, tell us as early as you can in writing and we will explain how the policy applies to your job.
06 Do you provide a backup if a signal fails?
Backup paths are part of our signal planning. Callum Reid designs a secondary route for the critical feed, depending on what the venue allows. We describe the backup in the technical outline, so you know what is covered before you confirm.
07 What file and delivery formats can you provide?
Formats depend on your broadcaster or streaming partner. Ewan Campbell agrees the file standards, metadata and delivery method with the receiving team in advance, so that feeds and clips arrive in a form they can use straight away.
08 What should I prepare before getting in touch?
It helps to have the date, venue address, access times, the broadcaster's technical contact, the format you need and a list of sources or cameras. If you are unsure of any of these, send what you have and we will work through the rest together.
